Made Ford's newest vehicles feel more relevant by tapping into the brand's history to create emotionally powerful social content
The Brief:
Like every auto maker, Ford wanted maximum eyeballs on vehicle launches. While the competition was focused only on selling new features, I saw a different way in – digging into their largely untapped archives to uncover the rich history that could deepen emotional connection, while still celebrating the newest models.
The Solution:
I introduced a series of creative shifts that surfaced iconic historical material and re-contextualized it for modern social platforms – using the brand's heritage as a hook to spotlight new vehicles.
Rediscovering
HERITAGE
After gaining access to the underutilized Ford archives, we launched a 'How It Started/How It's Going' series – leading with classic footage to hook the audience, then revealing the latest model. The Mustang IG video broke 1M organic views, making it one of the channel's all-time best performers.

Pop star Charlie Puth made a Tiktok about how the Ford startup chime could go well in a pop song. So we responded – making our own, then a full series of love songs dedicated to Ford vehicles. I co-wrote the lyrics.
